Kathryn Lauritzen founded Padma Video in 2008 with the mission to illuminate the strong, beautiful and often complicated relationships between humans and animals. Director, videographer and editor, Kathryn also spent 30 years on the air as a radio D.J. in five major U.S. markets. Her experience in audio broadcasting and production naturally led to her passion for making films. Through Padma Video, Kathryn has produced hundreds of videos, including a commercial television series for HRTV, and the documentary short “Don’t Shoot the Zebra Pony,” which won Best Equine Educational Film at the Equus International Film Festival in 2018. Kathryn Directed, shot and edited “The 24 Behaviors of the Ridden Horse in Pain” which won“Best Short Documentary” at the 2023 Tryon International Film Festival and “Best Educational Film” at the 2022 Equus Film Festival.
