Humans. Animals. It's about US.

VIDEOS THAT MATTER

Our Mission: We seek to illuminate the strong, beautiful and complicated relationship between humans and animals. We humbly serve with an open mind; asking the question during all phases of video production... how can we make the world better for them?

HELPING OUR CLIENTS MAKE THEIR VISIONS REAL

Padma Video specializes in creating educational, marketing and documentary films, always keeping our client’s image and budget in focus. Padma Video shoots, edits and creates graphics while delivering factually accurate and visually appealing videos with integrity and attention to detail.

POST PRODUCTION GOAL: DON'T BE BORING. EVER.

Like music, our videos have rhythm. We avoid staying on "talking heads" and cut away to b-roll and/or motion graphics whenever possible. We meticulously shape the content, research and add royalty-free music, color correct and sweeten the sound. We edit in Premier Pro, Photoshop and Adobe Audition. Motion graphics not only give our videos that extra "zazz!" but they are an important tool when trying to explain an otherwise complicated concept.

MAKING SCIENCE UNDERSTANDABLE

Padma Video excels in making science relatable and entertaining. We break information down into understandable graphics and animation. Some of the topics we've covered include equine biomechanics, animal behaviorism, the physiology of hoof pathologies, the anatomy of saddle-fitting and nutrition.

About us:

KATHRYN LOVES HORSES.

Padma Video founder, videographer, and editor, Kathryn Lauritzen, has been "horse-crazy" since she was a little girl. Kathryn spent much of her youth riding her bike to the barn and taking care of her horses. She later showed hunter/jumper with her thoroughbred gelding "San-ti." After college, Kathryn entered radio as a rock DJ and spent 30 years on the air in markets such as San Francisco, Boston, Washington D.C., New York and San Jose.  During that time, she created hundreds of hours of audio production which naturally lead to her passion for video production. Kathryn shoots on a Sony FS7, edits in Premier Pro, Adobe Audition, Photoshop and Lightroom.

Padma Video is named after... what else? A horse, of course. Padma was Kathryn's beloved thoroughbred mare of 24 years.
